What Customers Say About LG Shine CU720 Phone, Silver (AT&T):

Cell phone reception is poor even when im by a window. Other than that my phone has decided to disconnect during hour long calls alot so I am finding myself having to call people back.Currently trying to get this phone replaced.

This phone has confirmed what friends tell me about LG. Wish I could of gotten a samsung rugby or another samsung SGH-a737 instead.

My last phone the samsung SGH-a737 decided to take a swim and died so I got this phone about 2 weeks ago. Got a replacement battery from AT&T and within a day it died again.

Dont buy itPros.Voice command is ok but it's not correct most of the timeIt has a tip calculator and alarm on it (very nice features)Cons.Battery Life (1 day most standby)Ringtones aren't real goodPoor signal (most of the time 1-2 bars inside)Disconnected while making phone calls (usually if its longer than a hour)Cannot setup the user interface like you wantWorld time feature is incorrectIf the battery is low you cannot use any applications on the phone It doesn't even hold a charge for a day let alone 3.

For the 85 dollars spent on this piece of crap Id have to say it was a waste of time and money.

I did not like the free phone and did not want a Blackberry or I-phone. I like the "hefty" feel when I have it in hand. So I opted for this. not the keyboard at all. This is my third cell phone.

I have had it for a year now and am very satisfied. I do not surf the web with the phone but I have bought a memory card and head set and will be using the MP3 function shortly. All in all I find that I really enjoy having this phone. The phone is attractive & the weight is well, manly.

It feels good. I got it as an upgrade from the free phone that came with my new AT&T service. The slide function works OK most of the time unless my hands are dry. I do find that the joystick is a little funky. I am slow of course but, as my daughter likes to point out, I am old. See.

Then it takes an effort to get it open. The functions are easy to figure out and use.

I like that I can accept incomming calls without opening the phone. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good quality phone without getting into the cost of a blackberry or I-phone.

I think a small textured spot would be an improvement. I got it as a fluke really.

It takes some getting use to and could be better. I text a lot with my teenage daughter mostly and while some are critical of the keys, I find no fault.

It is a mid-range phone and I was impressed right off. The sound is clear.

I have downloaded about 10 already and they all sound great and work fine. Also, the keys light up white, rather than blue which makes it look slightly cooler than the silver one.Good call quality. I don't know what all those other folks were talking about, maybe they are going deaf and just don't know it. I have a 4GB card with a reader that allows me to plug the card into my computers USB port for easy transferring and uploading of music/pictures/videos. It's no Nikon but as one of the other reviewers mentioned, it's good for quick, on the spot pictures when there is no other cameras around.CONS:Terrible battery life.

I have the black model and I think it looks absolutely stunning. Although the quality of the sound is not top notch, it is still nice to be able to listen to some toonage whenever, and wherever I want to. The phone I had prior to the CU720 was a Motorola RAZR V3, and this phone surpasses the RAZR in pretty much every aspect. It's a good phone, and for free, you can't really bitch too much about the minor flaws.

I seriously do not understand what all these complaints with the joystick are about. It is what it is, and all it is, is an attractive camera phone with a music player, and on that note, it delivers. And for every one that complains about the ringtones on this phone, just go to www.myxer.com and send yourself some tones to download. So here's my take on the LG CU720 aka the LG SHINE. I haven't had any problems hearing what any one was saying during a phone call. I have not had ONE problem navigating the phone with it from day one.

And sure this phone isn't durable, but it doesn't claim to be. Also it is very nice how you can still navigate the phone while listening.Easy to navigate. It's not that video quality is bad or anything, but it only lets me take 42 second clips at a time, even when I switch the primary storage to the SD card. I have had it for about a month now and overall I am pretty satisfied with it.

Very annoying indeed. The video recorder. I find myself charging this sucker at LEAST every three days, and it becomes a nuisance. Nothing major, but it can be a bit bothersome. And that, my friends, is my review of the LG CU720 (SHINE). Maybe you people are just not tech-savvy and have no business messing around with electronics, I don't know. The camera. I HATE that when the phone is on low battery it will not allow you to run any application other than texting and making phone calls.

Believe what you want, but I'm telling you honestly that this phone is not nearly as bad as half these people make it out to be. They are a little too close together, although it does not completely complicate texting (I still get em out relatively fast) I will find myself pressing like three buttons at once from time to time. Enjoy. I hate this. And lastly, the buttons.

The only thing the RAZR did that the SHINE won't is let me assign my custom sounds as a text alert, but that's not big deal. Everything about the batteries is true, except for when people try an say it's good. Music player. They are also free from that site. Now, back to the review.PROS:VERY sexy.

I even keep the volume at 6, rather than full blast (7).MicroSD slot.

you have to shield it with your hand, and even then it's really difficult to see. the screen is loose, the back and front are scratched, the vibrate is insanely loud, and it sometimes freezes up.also, when you're out in the sunlight, the mirror finish makes it absolutely impossible to see anything.i'm outside a lot, and this drives me crazy. this phone works great for a few months, but at about a year mine got bad pretty quickly. it still works fine, but i'm worried it's on its last legs.

You may be happy the first week you buy it but it's all down hill from there. The phone just seams cheap and doesn't work well at all. I will never buy another LG after this.

My phone just hangs up and people and they say they get a busy signal in the middle of a call. That is why I think it is the phone not at&t. I don't know if it's at&t or the phone but I would say I lose one of every five calls I make or receive.

Overall I am just very unhappy with the phone in general. Do not waste your money or time on this phone. It is very annoying.

I have never had a problem like this with any phone and I've been with at&t/cingular/cell one for many many years.
